1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. They serve to make the site work and, in some cases, to collect information about its use.
2. Cookies used
Technical cookies (necessary)
These cookies are essential for the operation of the site. They do not require consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |

| fg_consent | Saves your choice about cookies | 1 year |
Analytics (cookieless)
We use Umami Analytics, an open-source, GDPR-compliant tool hosted on our servers. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect identifiable personal data and does not track users across different sessions.
| Tool | Purpose | Cookie |
|---|---|---|
| Umami Analytics | Anonymous traffic analysis (visits, pages, source, country) | None |
Marketing / affiliate cookies (require consent)
FlightGuard participates in the Travelpayouts affiliate program: some links towards travel partners (flight compensation, insurance) are affiliate links. To attribute conversions and show relevant content, Travelpayouts may set third-party cookies. These cookies are activated only after your consent via the cookie banner; if you refuse, they are not installed.
| Tool | Purpose | Cookie |
|---|---|---|
| Travelpayouts | Affiliate attribution and remarketing for partner links | Third-party, with prior consent |
3. How to manage cookies
On first access a banner asks you to accept or refuse the non-necessary cookies (marketing/affiliate). You can change your preferences at any time by clicking on "Manage cookies" in the site footer, or via your browser settings.
4. Third-party cookies
The site uses Cloudflare as CDN and hosting. Cloudflare may set technical cookies for the protection of the service. For more information: Cloudflare Cookie Policy.
If you consent to marketing cookies, the affiliate partner Travelpayouts may set third-party cookies. For more information: Travelpayouts Privacy Policy.
5. Tracking outside of cookies
The alert emails sent by FlightGuard contain an open-tracking pixel, used to measure the usefulness of the content, and affiliate links towards partners. Affiliate links may set cookies on the partner's site according to their respective policies. Full details in the Privacy Policy, section 7.
